My boyfriend and I came here to enjoy some fish, and we were truly impressed. The fish was fresh and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, which made our evening even more enjoyable. We left the restaurant very happy with our experience. Thank you for everything! We will definitely come back and highly recommend this place.
I checked with Gemini, what would be the best places for fish in Dublin and it gave me Bubbas. It was absolutely right. The food was perfect. Bubbas Mixed Plate (or whatever exactly the name was) had something of everything, so we skipped the main courses and went straight for dessert. Also great. And on top of everything: the service was great. We loved the woman that served our food. She was charming and fun and on point with her advice. Thank you so much 🫶
We dined here for lunch and ordered the king scallop and prawn mornay, salt & pepper calamari, and mussels.
The king scallop and prawn mornay felt underwhelming for the price. For €30, I expected a generous portion and more flavour. The mussels were also bland as though cream had been added without much seasoning or spice to bring it together, and the sizes were quite small. The calamari was okay with the sweet chilli jam, but sadly, very small portions too.
Overall, while the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the food didn’t justify the price point and left us disappointed.
